Tissue distribution of the zebrafish orthologous genes.

The tissue distribution of the genes conserved in the synteny was determined by RT-Q-PCR in zebrafish. The relative mRNA abundance was evaluated in a panel of six tissues collected from adult males and females (B, brain; L, liver; F, fin; E, eye; O, operculum; G, gonad). The relative expression values were normalized to 18S rRNA. Most of the genes conserved in the synteny (nup54, aff1, klhl8, sdad1, and ptpn13) show the highest expression in zebrafish ovary with the exception of the gsdf gene (testis) and of the mapk10 gene.
