Synonyms
Definition
An N-glycoprotein resulting from the formal condensation of the side-chain carboxamide group of the L-asparagine residues in the genome polyprotein of hepatitus C virus subtype 1a with the hemiacetal group of D-mannosylated alpha-D-Manp-(1->3)-[alpha-D-Manp-(1->6)]-beta-D-Manp-(1->4)-beta-D-GlcpNAc-(1->4)-D-GlcpNAc. It has been found at positions 417, 423, 448, 540, 556, and 623 of the protein (positions 35, 41, 66, 158, 174, and 241 in PMID:18187336, respectively). In the structure shown, either two of the R atoms each represent a D-mannopyranosyl group, or one of the R atoms reprsents a di-D-mannosyl group; all remaining R atoms = H.
