crestin Expression in Trunk Neural Crest Following Tg(hsp70:chd) Induction and BMP Inhibition
In wild-type embryos at 9 somites (A), crestin expression begins at the position of rhombomere 5 (arrowhead) and extends posteriorly. In embryos heat-shocked at 4 hpf (B), 5 hpf (C, n=9/9), or 5.5 hpf (D, n=10/11), crestin expression was absent. In embryos heat-shocked at 6 hpf (E, n=14/14), crestin is expressed and expanded ventrally in the posterior. All views are lateral, dorsal to the right, insets are dorsal views, anterior to top.
