Anovulatory ovaries from lhcgr−/− females sampled in the morning 2 h after the onset of lights. A) Normal ovulation with all mature oocytes ovulated in the ovary of wt fish. B) Normal ovulation with all mature oocytes ovulated in the ovary of lhcgr+/-fish. C) Partial anovulation with a portion of mature oocytes trapped within the ovary of lhcgr−/− fish. D) Severe anovulation with all mature oocytes trapped within the ovary of lhcgr−/− fish. Arrow heads indicate anovulatory oocytes. PHENOTYPE:
