Statement of Research Interest
The zebrafish genome sequencing project at the Sanger Institute is based upon collaboration between the Sanger Centre and the zebrafish community. Since its inception in 2001, it has produced updated genome assemblies on a frequent basis. The primary genomic sequence analysis including annotation is produced by the Sanger Institute in collaboration with Ensembl and ZFIN. The zebrafish genome project has joined the Genome Reference Consortium in 2010
