Name: | autophagosome-lysosome fusion |

Synonyms: | autophagosome-vacuole fusion |
Definition: | The process in which autophagosomes, double-membraned vesicles containing cytoplasmic material, fuse with a vacuole (yeast) or lysosome (e.g. mammals and insects).
