Definition
A benzothiazine that is the 1-[(ethoxycarbonyl)oxy]ethyl ether of piroxicam. A prodrug for piroxicam, it is used for the relief of pain and inflammation in musculoskeletal disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
