  • N. meningitidis serogroup X (MenX) DP6
Definition
A phosphate-linked oligosaccharide analogue consisting of six alpha-N-acetyl-D-glucosaminyl residues, joined by (1->4)-phosphodiester linkages. It is a constituent 6-repeating-unit segment of Neisseria meningitidis serogroup X capsular polysaccharide (MenX), the structural diagram of which shows parts of phosphodiester linkages which are present at both the reducing and non-reducing ends of the hexasaccharide unit.
