Statement of Research Interest
Our research focuses on how the developing vertebrate body is patterned along the primary (anteroposterior; AP) body axis. We make use of a combination of molecular, cellular and embryological techniques to address how specific regions of the body are patterned. Our hindbrain work has led us to an ongoing investigation of the molecular and cellular mechanisms that control tangential migration of the facial branchiomotor neurons. We are also investigating neural crest migration and regionalization.
