Statement of Research Interest
Our current research explores two themes. First, we use social interactions to study the impact of prolonged elevation of the stress hormone cortisol on fish physiology and behaviour, from stress axis function to tolerance of environmental challenges such as elevated temperature. The second theme aims to understand the mechanisms through which fish maintain gas exchange and acid-base balance in response to environmental challenges.
