OPTICS: MAGNIFICATION: DATE OF IMAGE: SUBMITTER COMMENTS: O-dianisidine staining for hemoglobin (arrows) in wild-type and mutant embryos. The wild-type expresses large amounts of hemoglobin in differentiating red blood cells; the mutant has approximately 50% of the normal number of blood cells, which express much lower levels of hemoglobin compared to wild-type.
