We study genetic control of blood vessel formation and function with a focus on regulation of angiogenesis and vascular integrity by cell signalling. We also study how cell signalling is disrupted during cardiovascular diseases and how this contributes to endothelial dysfunction. We are interested in how endothelial cells (ECs) are organised into vascular networks, how cellular rearrangements are controlled during angiogenesis, how ECs interpret positional information and what the signals involved are.
