Phenotype: cholangiocyte Wnt signaling pathway increased occurrence, abnormal
Note: This statement combines anatomy and/or ontology terms with phenotype quality terms to create a complete phenotype (EQ) statement. For detailed information on individual terms, click the hyperlinked term name.
Name: cholangiocyte
Synonyms: bile duct cells, epithelial cell of bile duct
Definition: An epithelial cell that is part of the bile duct. Cholangiocytes contribute to bile secretion via net release of bicarbonate and water. They are cuboidal epithelium in the small interlobular bile ducts, but become columnar and mucus secreting in larger bile ducts approaching the porta hepatis and the extrahepatic ducts.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0009397]
Name: Wnt signaling pathway
Synonyms: frizzled signaling pathway, frizzled signalling pathway, Wg signaling pathway, Wg signalling pathway, Wingless signaling pathway, Wingless signalling pathway, Wnt receptor signaling pathway, Wnt receptor signalling pathway, Wnt-activated signaling pathway
Definition: The series of molecular signals initiated by binding of a Wnt protein to a frizzled family receptor on the surface of a target cell and ending with a change in cell state.
Ontology: GO: Biological Process [GO:0016055]    QuickGO    AmiGO
Name: increased occurrence
Synonyms: increased incidence
Definition: An occurrence which is relatively high.
Ontology: Phenotypic Quality Ontology [PATO:0002051]
